Mr. Odom, I think you've hit the nail on the head in your remarks. I've been critical of Obama myself, but it's not that I want hi to fail, I want him to be the candidate he was in 2008.

With clear Democratic majorities in both Houses of Congress and with the outrageous obstructionism of the GOPer-NOpers so clearly displayed, Obama needs to put the pedal to the metal NOW or he'll end up a one-term president.

Now have You all seen that some Members of Congress are actually receiving death threats over this issue??? It is getting beyond ridiculous!!! Sarah Palin, Who I thought said She wanted to get off the political stage to devote more time to Her Famil, just a month ago, is among those instigating the fear and mistruths...

It is disgusting listening to the hypocrisy coming out of the mouths of the likes of Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly, and Their "Puppets" like those storming the attempted town hall meeting in Tampa and other towns... Whenever they are losing an argument, rather than discuss the issues honestly, intelligently, and with actual facts, they start yelling and attacking those they don't agree with and start name calling, trying to change the subject entirely... These people attacking President Obama and His Supporters, calling Him and Them things like "Nazis" and "Hitler" etc... and whining that they are not being treated fairly by the Press??? These are the same people Who attacked anybody Who dared disagree with President Bush or disagree with His march to war on Iraq, saying that anybody Who disagreed was a Traitor or worse... ...and that they should move to France or Canada if they didn't agree with Bush and every single one of His policies... Don't take My word for it, just think back or rewatch the clips on Youtube of them both saying that the Dixie Chicks were ignorant "Bimbos, Who deserved to be slapped around" and deserved the hate and death threats they received when Natalie Maines said that "they didn't want this war or this violence, and that they were ashamed that the President of the United States was from Texas..." Why is it ok for them to bad mouth President Obama and His Supporters now, and call Him and them very bad and nasty names when they were the very People calling for blind support of President Bush and saying that even those Who disagreed with Him owed Him total respect and support because of His position, and Dick Cheney and the Senators as well??? I am having alot of trouble understanding the double standard and total hypocrisy coming out of the mouths of these very same people now... The big $$$ special interest groups are spreading disinformation, scaring the laypersons into thinking that health care reforms means no choices, and bad medical care, when just the opposite is the actual truth, if people would study and investigate for themselves...

Tim.."Hate Talk Radio and the like are bad for the country. Getting Churches to lobby for big tobacco, for polluting corporations, and for the anti-poverty groups that don’t think any social program is good is a sin in my book."

Cant let you continue to demonize and name calling with out calling you on it. Be careful what you define as Hate talk Radio. you might not like it. But when you start limiting free speech in the free market, what happens when you are in the minority? How would you scream if THIS site was labeled by the Govt as Hate Speech? I'm sure we can find plenty of hateful demeaning speech on this page..at least according to me.

As for your attack on the church, I don't see you having any problem when the left fills the minority churches with politicians prior to the elections. Go ahead and give me your legalez about 501 C organizations..you know you are hypocritical. And by the way, I attend church weekly, have taught in church, and been a board member of a small Christian school.(in 3 different states). All Evangilical... and not ONCE have there ever been any of what you accuse. I know that is anecdotal, but the brush you paint with is way to wide and generalized to be used as an argument.

Grace and Peace.

Come on Tim, My comments made no name calling. You have now label my opinions as a John Bircher and implied that I am a racist because I share their sentiment. Address the issues I put forward. I will restate it. As long as the radicals are supporting the left, they get only minor media play. When they are to the right, they are demonized. That is where my frustration with Ben's statement come from. I will give you an even better example. With in the last 3 months two soldiers were shot and killed outside of a recruiting station. Where was the cry of outrage at this killing from any organization on the left compared to the religious right's condemnation of the abortionist murderer? Zip nada.. I am not accusing any on the left of condoning it, but the left only gets indignant when they are under attack. The left laughed at Bush when the shoe was thrown at him. If the same would have happened to Pres. Obama, the lefts reaction would have been loud and angry. The left is hypocritical in their indignation of how they have been treated.

HStack, most of those who are going are John Birchers. You should listen to some of the racist recordings of their meetings. I know those groups have been trying to "rally the troops" and I feel there is a certain amount of "I can't believe that Black Guy is President" to this.

"I want my country back" implies it was taken over. It wasn't taken over, there was an election. They started the cry when Obama was in for his first 30 days.

Hate Talk Radio and the like are bad for the country. Getting Churches to lobby for big tobacco, for polluting corporations, and for the anti-poverty groups that don't think any social program is good is a sin in my book.

Ben, I agree with you on all points. through the first two paragraphs. The frustration for me (if not also for the right) is that I feel a double standard exists. When Code Pink, or Peta, or college students sympathetic to the left storm a stage with banners, throw paint, interrupt a speaker from the minute men, etc.. there is no cry from the left about mobs or violation of free speech. It is not the lead story on MSN, CBS, etc... To me, it is presented with a smirk..almost implicit approval. But when the right behaves poorly it is the lead story. When an abortion doctor is murdered by a religious zealot most every reputable religious mouthpeace denounced it. (and I think it deserves the deah penalty) Where is that kind of outcry from the left leadership when the left acts poorly? I am one of those religious folks (though I am not yelling at you) and you ask where is my grace and good will. The Grace I have received from my Savior is sufficient, but when you in the very next breath accuse me of being brownshirted, browbeating bully, It makes it difficult for me to extend that grace, much less goodwill..
Still love ya as a brother, though.. HStack.

I wonder how accurate this poll is? I'd hope that the state party isn't using it to determine who (if anyone) to support.
